You Are The Light

I know a lot of people are afraid of what they see around them. I get dozens of messages from people asking me for some kind of hope. They see and feel the darkness and the cold, and it frightens them.

In truth, the darkness is growing. And it’s only going to get darker. But I implore you to just remember this, please, because it’s very very important:

When the world was first created, everything was dark. Everything in every part of the universe was simply cold and unforgiving darkness. But then Hashem said four words that changed it all… “Let there be Light”.

When the sun starts to set, the world gets darker. The lower the sun goes down, the darker it gets. But then you begin to see the first stars. Then a few more. And then more again. But when you really notice the sky around you, when you focus and take it in, the darker it gets, the brighter the stars shine.

YOU are the stars. So let the darkness come and fill the entire sky. It doesn’t matter. Because YOU are the stars. All you need to do is shine. People will always look up and see your light. They won’t notice the darkness. You have the power in you to give people light. To give people hope. And when the sun rises again, and the darkness disappears, remind yourself that the sun is a star. And it gives light, and hope, and life and warmth.

There will always be darkness. It’s been the case since the very beginning of time. But when it gets to its darkest point, just be the star, and shine for all to see. When you realize you’re the star, the darkness becomes irrelevant.

Light will always defeat the darkness.

Hashem always wins.
